Sen. Moro to partner Ado LGA to reconstruct the bridge across river Ado

Senator representing Benue South District, Comr. Abba Moro has expressed readiness to partner the James Oche led administration of Ado Local Government to rehabilitate the bridge across river Ado leading to Inikiri Ichari Area of the Local Government.

The Senator made this known yesterday while inspecting the dilapidated state of the bridge which was responsible for severing the Izzi and Ezza people from the rest of the region.

Ado Local Government Chairman, James Oche has expressed delight over the development, saying it would be a dream come true for his administration.

Speaking to press men, James Oche said the bridge was build by the then Military Government of Nigeria and had long ago become dilapidated. He lamented that, owing to the decay, the social and economic life of the Izzi and Ezza was severed from the rest of Ado.

He said the Ezza and Izzi people were now more connected to Ebonyi State where they engage in commercial and social activities.

Oche further expressed optimism that the rehabilitation of the bridge will open up Inikiri to the local government capital and further help in integrating the Ezzas and Izzis to their Idoma brothers.

It may be retold that, the dilapidated nature of the bridge was reason Sen. Abba Moro endured over 10 kilometers ride on a motorcycle to pay a visit to the people of Ezza-Ezekunna a week ago.
