Senator Abba Moro commissions more projects in Benue South

The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, on Saturday, led a high-powered delegation to commission some of his projects in the Senatorial District. Members of the delegation included the Benue State PDP Chairman, Sir John Ngbede. The tour took the Senator and his team to Otukpo, Apa and Agatu LGAs.

In Otukpo, the Igaluwa-Ugboju road was commissioned. Addressing the mammoth crowd that waited to recieve the delegation, Senator Moro said the road and his other projects scattered across the Zone were his own way of giving back to the society that gave him the mandate he currently holds. He said though the road was not done to the expected stretch, due to Ministry’s standard, he assured the people that he would continue from where he stopped in the subsequent budgetary years.

The Senator thanked the PDP State Chairman, Sir John Ngbede, for finding time out of his very tight schedules to come and commission his projects. He said it was fair that at a time like this, the Chairman is taken down to sites of projects that he has completed to show that he’s not wasting away at the National Assembly. He stated that he didn’t take his presence for granted.

In his remarks, Sir Ngbede thanked the Senator for finding him worthy for the projects commissioning.

His words, “This is what dividends of democracy is all about. If people don’t feel your impact then you have no business to be in office. From what I’m seeing here and have been reading online, it’s obvious that we didn’t make mistake to send you to represent us. You have done more than enough and we are very pleased with you.”

In Igaluwa where the Senator was briefly hosted, the Senator thanked the people for appreciating the project, even though it hasn’t gotten to the community yet. He informed the elders, youths and women who gathered that he would ensure that the road gets to the village in no distant time.

The House of Assembly member representing Adoka-Ugboju State Constituency, Hon. Mike Audu, thanked the Senator for the project. He promised to always partner with him for the good of his people and the entire Senatorial District.

All the speakers praised the Senator for his people-oriented projects and quality representation, they said God would continue to uphold and keep him in the Senate.
From Igaluwa, the delegation moved to Edikwu-Ankpali, in Apa LGA, for the commissioning of the electrification project in the community.

While welcoming the Senator to the community, the House of Assembly member representing Apa State Constituency, Hon. Abu Umoru, thanked the Senator for the project. He said he was given the opportunity by the Senator to nominate a project for his community and he nominated the electrification project. He prayed God to bless and keep him, promising to mobilize support for him at all times.

The Senator said the project was conceived out of his constituency projects nominated by Hon. Abu Umoru. He tasked the youths and elders of the community to guard the project jealously against vandals and criminals.

Sir John Ngbede congratulated the community and also tasked the community to protect the project against criminal elements. He thanked the Senator for his infrastructural revolution in Benue South and urged him to keep up the good work.

In Obagaji, Agatu LGA, it was a carnival-like event. The people rolled out their drums and came out en mass to recieve the delegation.

All the people who spoke thanked the Senator for giving them water in Agatu. The Council Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Adoyi, thanked the Senator for giving the LGA water. “Water is life; you have given us life in Agatu and we are very grateful”, he stated.

Elder Godwin Ategbani, on behalf of the elders, prayed for the Senator. He said God would answer all his prayers.

Chief Godwin Ngbede Onah, the Ad’Agatu, was full of praises and thanks for the Senator. He said the traditional institution in the LGA wished him the best of luck in all his endeavors.

Speaking on behalf of Agatu women, the Women Leader, Hon. (Mrs) Maria Apochi, said all women of Agatu stood with the Senator. She said they had never had it this good and prayed that the Senator would always get whatever he wants.

In his own remarks, the House of Assembly member representing Agatu State Constituency, Hon. Godwin Abu Edoh, said the Senator asked him to nominate a project in Agatu and, after consulting with stakeholders, he was asked to nominate water project, which the Senator graciously executed in four locations in the LGA. He thanked the Senator for the gesture and said anywhere he leads he and his people would follow. ”You can’t do all these for us and we abandon you”, he stated.

Abuh Umoru, House of Assembly member, representing Apa State Constituency; Business Mogul and foremost Philanthropist, King Mohammed Odeh (Ochacho) and his brother, Hon. Alex Ogbeh; PDP Assistant State Secretary, Hon. Rose Ameh; PDP State Ex-Officio member, Hon. Ogwuche Ijachi; all the PDP LGA Chairmen in Benue South and Chief Uba Obande.
