Sporting Lagos, a prominent club in the Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL), has bid farewell to midfielder Godswill Toro as his contract comes to an end.
Toro played a crucial role in Paul Offor’s squad, contributing significantly to the team’s successful promotion to the NPFL. His skills were particularly noteworthy during the intense Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs held in Asaba.
However, after the expiration of his contract, the club has decided to release him, leaving a void in their midfield. Sporting Lagos is now on the hunt for a suitable replacement to fill Toro’s shoes and maintain their competitive edge.
Besides Toro, Chisom Orji and Kalu Chukwuemeka have also departed from the team, adding further adjustments to Sporting Lagos’ roster ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 NPFL season.
