Nigeria’s Super Falcons held onto the 36th spot in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking released on Friday.

The team also maintained its position as the top-ranked side in Africa.

Under the guidance of coach Randy Waldrum, the Super Falcons had a challenging performance at the 2024 Olympic Games, losing all three of their group stage matches to Brazil, Spain, and Japan.

The United States reclaimed the top spot in the rankings following their gold medal win in the women’s football event at the Olympics.

World champions Spain fell to third place after a fourth-place finish at the Olympics.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024.
