Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has emphasized that Nigerians understand that there are no quick-fix solutions to the country’s long-standing problems. He made this statement while discussing the potential benefits of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s trip to India to attend the G-20 meeting.

Ngelale highlighted that President Tinubu has unveiled plans to alleviate the hardships faced by Nigerians, particularly since the removal of the fuel subsidy.

When questioned about the specific measures the President was taking to improve the lives of Nigerians in light of the challenges following the fuel subsidy removal, Ajuri Ngelale explained, “Nigerians are very perceptive people. They recognize that you can’t resolve deep-rooted problems that have persisted for over half a century with magic wand solutions.”

He went on to emphasize that President Tinubu has consistently outlined his approach to addressing these challenges, both during his campaigns and in his current role. Ngelale cited Tinubu’s successful implementation of a master plan in Lagos as an example. He explained that the President’s strategy involves addressing deficits and diligently implementing plans to drive progress. Additionally, Ngelale mentioned that the President has distributed palliatives to states and is working on reducing energy costs as part of his efforts to improve the situation.
