President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja for France on what has been described as “a brief work stay.”

The President left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday afternoon, just days after returning to Abuja from a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea.

On Sunday night, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced that President Tinubu would be traveling to France on Monday, August 19, departing from Abuja, the nation’s capital.

“The President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France,” Ngelale stated.

This announcement followed the release of one of the three Presidential jets that had been seized by order of a French court in connection with a legal dispute involving Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, a Chinese firm. The company’s spokesperson revealed on Friday that the jet was released after they learned President Tinubu would need it for a scheduled meeting with France’s President, Emmanuel Macron.
