Tinubu to present 2026 Budget before joint session of National Assembly Friday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint sitting of the National Assembly on Friday.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the development was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), Kamoru Ogunlana.

According to the statement, President Tinubu, in his capacity as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will lay the 2026 proposed budget before the lawmakers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The notice further directed all accredited individuals to be at their duty posts by 11:00 a.m., warning that latecomers would be denied access to the National Assembly complex due to security protocols. It also advised non-accredited persons to stay away from the complex on the day of the presentation.

In addition, except for the CNA, Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA), Clerk of the Senate (CS), Clerk of the House of Representatives (CHR), and their deputies, all other staff members were instructed to park their vehicles at designated areas within the Annex or the new car park near the NASS Gate.

The statement urged strict compliance with the outlined arrangements.
