Transfer: Helguera welcomes Mbappe to Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid defender, Ivan Helguera, has weighed in on the potential signings of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland for Los Blancos, asserting that Mbappe would be a more suitable fit for the club.

In an interview with AS, Helguera was asked to compare Mbappe and Haaland in terms of their potential impact at Real Madrid.

He responded (h/t PSG Talk), “Both players are exceptional talents, but I believe Mbappe would be a more valuable addition for Madrid. He possesses the versatility to excel on the wing, as a central striker, and even in a midfield role if needed.”

Helguera continued, “On the other hand, Haaland is primarily a center-forward, and his role is more fixed in that position.”
