Transfer: Malouda urges chelsea to sign Osimhen
Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has backed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to be a top signing for the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
With Chelsea reportedly seeking a new striker following an inconsistent season from Nicolas Jackson, Osimhen has emerged as a key target.
The Napoli forward was previously linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but talks stalled due to his high wage demands.
“The [Osimhen] links with Chelsea are strong. We’ve had brilliant African footballers in the past, and Osimhen can be the next generation of African players at Chelsea,” he told Racing Tipster.
“I would love to see him join the club. I think he would be an excellent signing. I also think he would help someone like Nicolas Jackson improve.”
Malouda also claimed Osimhen will score plenty of goals for Enzo Maresca’s side.
“We [Chelsea] need a striker that scores 20 or more a season. Osimhen is the kind of player who can do that,” he added.
