WAEC releases computer-based WASSCE results for 2026 first series

The West African Examinations Council has announced the release of results for the 2026 First Series of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.

In a statement shared on X on Friday, the council informed candidates that their results will be accessible within 12 hours of the announcement.

WAEC explained that the prompt release highlights its ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery by leveraging technology and streamlining examination processes.

The council also thanked stakeholders for their cooperation, noting their role in the smooth and successful conduct of the examination.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours.

“Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat.”

The CB-WASSCE is specifically organized for private candidates and forms part of WAEC’s broader push to modernize its examination system and improve candidates’ experience through computer-based testing.

Candidates are encouraged to check their results through WAEC’s official platforms once they are available.
