COVID-19: What will happen if Susan Okpe is negative – Abba Moro speaks on Benue ‘index case’
The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, has called for calm over the controversy surrounding the first coronavirus index case in Benue State.
There have been uproar in the media following the announcement by the state Govenror, Samuel Ortom, that a certain Susan Okpeh has been tested positive for the virus.
However, the woman has come out to disclose that she’s negative and has not trace of the disease.
The woman had in a post on her Facebook page called on the Nigerian and British governments to come rescue her from what she described as dungeon.
Reacting, however, Senator Moro said he’s in touch with the alleged case and would do the needful if she truly negative as she claimed.
He stated this in a post on his Facebook wall.
“Let’s kindly tone down on our utterances and write-ups concerning our Sister, Susan Okpe’s case. I’m in touch with the Benue state government and I can assure you that the needful will be done for her, especially if she’s truly not having the virus.
This is not a time of argument and needless confrontations, it’s a time for us to unite and work together, to contain the spread of the virus in the state, irrespective of our tribal and religious backgrounds.
Our Sister will be fine!”
