Why I unfollowed my husband, deleted our wedding pictures – BBNaija’s Queen Mercy
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, has opened up on the reason she unfollowed her husband, David Oyekanmi, on Instagram months after their wedding in March 2024.
The move had sparked speculations of a marital crisis, especially after she also deleted their wedding photos from her page.
However, in a video shared on her social media, the reality star clarified that her actions were aimed at protecting her marriage, not ending it.
“I was trying to take my marriage off social media because my husband’s handle is out there, with a lot of ladies sliding into his DMs—both with positive and negative messages,” she said.
Queen added that the decision was a deliberate effort to safeguard her relationship and maintain some level of privacy.
“I just want to protect my marriage and reduce some of the things I put out there,” she explained.
