The Chief Executive Officer & MD of Aleji Oil & Gas, Aleji Onyilokwu Alexander is set float the first private polytechnic in Idomaland.

In fact, works are currently ongoing on the site of the proposed institution, located at Ochito Ghana area of Otukpo, Benue State.
The school, which comfortably occupies a large hectare of land, worth 42 million in Otukpo has since been given accredited  by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

When completed, the private institution would not only offer admission to our people but create employment for natives of the community.

Confirming the development to IDOMA VOICE on Saturday, the brain behind the project, Aleji said, “As we speak already works have started in the site, what else do you need to know this is real?

We would have commenced since last year but refused to take off from temporary site to avoid people’s doubt.  All NBTE want of us to take off permanent site is a block of class room in L form and a nice admin block. All materials are in place, just waiting for the rain to subside.
“We will be starting with six schools (departments) two engineering courses, computer science, business, public admin, and statistics. “We will do so many other courses along with mass com on certificate course and Ordinary diploma in preparation for the next accreditation.
Asked what informed the laudable project in Idoma corridor, the soft-spoken oil merchant said, “My zeal to do what our elders did not do and the challenge to develop my father land as I don’t have another home else than Idoma land make me to situate this project here.

“And all I need from a lover of this great ancestral home of us is just but prayer and contribution from everyone because I can’t do it all alone and as it is said, a tree can never make a forest. I am calling on all well-meaning Idoma to join me in this developmental stride.
“My advice to our Idoma brothers out there is that we shouldn’t see anything to be impossible as long as there’s God and life. All we need is to star,” Aleji who also owns Aleji Comprehensive Secondary School in Utonkon told our reporter.
