Wife, children of Kwara lawmaker’s kidnapped by Gunmen

In a distressing development, unidentified gunmen have abducted the wife and two children of Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, who represents the Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly.

The kidnappers reportedly invaded the lawmaker’s residence at approximately 1 am on Monday, discharging gunfire into the air before forcibly taking the victims with them.

As of the time this report was filed, the whereabouts of the abducted individuals remained undisclosed.

Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, acknowledged the incident but mentioned that details surrounding the event are still unclear.
