Dora Chichah, wife of suspended Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Daniel Okanatotor Oghenerukevwe from the Diocese of Warri, Delta State, has opened up about how she met her husband.

Dora and Fr. Daniel married on December 29, 2024, at the Stream of Joy Church in Dallas, USA, despite the priest not waiting for the Universal Church to formally release him from his canonical obligations.

Sharing her testimony at Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church in Dallas, Dora, a single mother of three, recalled her long wait for a life partner. She shared that she had prayed for over nine years for divine intervention.

In her testimony, Dora said, “What God cannot do does not exist. We dey pray, e dey show. I’m a single mother of three, and I’ve been believing God for over nine years for a divine settlement. I kept praying and saying, ‘God, settle me.’”

She recalled that in 2021, Pastor Jerry Eze prophesied that God would bring her salvation during her waiting time and build her character. Dora continued to pray and believe in God’s timing, often dancing and praying during church services when Pastor Jerry would declare blessings for women.

In 2024, Dora felt a strong divine leading to relocate to Dallas, Texas, where she reconnected with Fr. Daniel, whom she had known from her childhood. The two quickly exchanged contact information, and their relationship progressed rapidly, culminating in their wedding. Dora mentioned that Fr. Daniel had informed the Diocese of his decision, and their union was not a secret.

Dora shared that Fr. Daniel had also been praying and fasting for guidance on his vocation for four years, seeking God’s direction for his future, while she had been praying for a life partner.
