Wizkid wins Favorite Afrobeats artist at American Music Awards

Popular Nigerian singer, Ibrahim Ayo Balogun AKA Wizkid has won the Favorite Afrobeats artist of the year at the 2022 American Music Awards.

Wizkid won ahead of fellow colleagues/Nominees; Tems, Fireboy Dml, Ckay and Burna Boy.

The feat makes Wizkid the first ever Artist to win the the award for the category which was first introduced this year 2022.

Wizkid also won favorite R&B song with “Essence” featuring Tems the same night.
