Woman seeks divorce, claims husband counts pieces of meat in the pot

A 23-year-old woman from George Township, Zambia, Margaret Kabanda, has taken her husband, Emmanuel Tembo, to court, seeking a divorce.
Margaret told the court that Emmanuel has an unusual habit of counting the pieces of meat in the pot whenever he cooks. If any are missing, he immediately reports the matter to his parents.
She further alleged that Emmanuel frequently invites his female friends from the neighborhood to chat on their veranda at night. Whenever she complains about this, he responds with physical violence.
In his defense, Emmanuel claimed that Margaret retaliates by pouring a bucket of urine and water on him whenever she catches him chatting with neighbors.
Presiding over the case, Magistrate Lewis Mumba of the Matero Local Court adjourned the proceedings.
