The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to kick off their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a match against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Friday, November 17. This exciting clash will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Jose Peseiro’s team will take on the Warriors of Zimbabwe just three days later. This second match is scheduled to take place at the Amarhoro Stadium in Kigali.

The match dates were officially disclosed via the Super Eagles’ official platform.

Other formidable teams in the group include Benin Republic, led by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, and Rwanda.

The group’s top-ranked team will secure an automatic spot in the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The Super Eagles missed out on the previous edition of the global soccer event hosted by Qatar. In the playoff round, the three-time African champions faced defeat at the hands of their long-standing rivals, Ghana.
