The immediate past Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Dr. Alechenu Bonaventure Mark has Thursday 24th, 2019 declared support for his cousin, Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi over his daughter, Mrs Blessing Onuh.
Sen. Mark who is Nigeria’s longest serving Senator made the declaration during the local government tour of Gov. Samuel Ortom in Ohimini and Otukpo local government areas respectively.
Recall that, Mrs Onuh defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) after loosing to her uncle, Hon. Egli at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primaries late last year.
Sen. Mark in his statement said that the people of Otukpo and Ohimini should only vote for PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The two times Senate President specifically urged the Idoma people to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as president, Comr. Abba Moro as Zone C Senator, Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi as Member representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal constituency on the 16th of February 2019.
In the same vein, he charged the people to come out en mass to vote for Gov. Samuel Ortom as governor of Benue state, Hon. Mike Audu as Member representing Adoka/Ugboju state constituency and Hon. Ochi Igbabe as Member representing Otukpo/Akpa constituency at the Benue Assembly.
