BREAKING: NNPCL raises petrol price by N75 to N1,345 per litre
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol, by N75 per litre.
The new price took effect on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Checks at NNPCL retail outlets in Gwarimpa, Wuse Zones 4 and 6, and other parts of Abuja showed that petrol was selling for N1,345 per litre, up from N1,270.
The development represents an increase of N75 per litre.
An attendant at one of the NNPCL filling stations, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the adjustment.
“Our petrol pump price was raised to N1,345 per litre today,” the attendant said.
The latest adjustment comes amid continued concerns over the cost of petroleum products and its impact on transportation and the prices of goods and services across the country.
