President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday swore in newly appointed commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) at a brief ceremony held at the State House in Abuja.

The inauguration, which preceded the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, marked the formal induction of key officials into two of the country’s critical governance institutions.

Sworn in as INEC Commissioners were Mallam Tukur Abdulrazaq Yusuf, representing the North West, and Professor Sunday Nwambam Aja from Ebonyi State in the South East.

Also inaugurated were two new members of the Code of Conduct Bureau: Ikpeme Kenneth Ndem from Cross River State and retired Justice Buba Ibrahim Nyaure from Taraba State.

Following the swearing-in, President Tinubu proceeded to preside over the sixth FEC meeting of the year.

Present at the meeting were top administration figures, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; and National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
