ADC fires back at Presidency, rejects Tinubu’s alleged 2031 ambition
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying his policies have worsened poverty, hunger, and insecurity across the country.
In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, dismissed the Presidency’s recent remarks on Tinubu’s tenure as “undemocratic,” insisting the president’s mandate ends in 2027.
The opposition party expressed concern over the state of the economy, particularly the fall of the naira, rising inflation, and soaring food prices.
It also accused the federal government of failing to curb insecurity, citing the rising activities of bandits, kidnappers, and other armed groups in rural communities.
According to the ADC, many businesses have shut down due to harsh policies and multiple taxation, while unemployment continues to rise.
The party maintained that Nigerians were not better off under the present administration and called for urgent measures to address the economic and security challenges.
