Police arrest 27 more suspects in raids on bandits’ hideouts in Benue
The Benue State Police Command has arrested 27 additional suspects in ongoing raids on bandits’ hideouts in the Sankara axis of the state.
The operation, codenamed Operation Restore Peace, is being carried out by tactical units led by the second-in-command of the 13 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Makurdi.
Security sources confirmed the arrests on Wednesday, noting that the development brings the total number of suspects in custody to 48.
The suspects, according to the sources, are currently undergoing investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
