Social media comedian Carter Efe emerged victorious over street-hop singer and ZaZoo crooner, Habeeb “Portable” Badmus, in a celebrity boxing showdown held on Friday night at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Efe dominated the three-round contest at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event, earning a unanimous decision from all three judges, who scored the bout 27-30 in his favour.

The victory ended Portable’s unbeaten run in celebrity boxing and saw him lose his position as the king of celebrity boxing.

Portable had previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to win two belts and entered the fight confidently, boasting ahead of the bout.

“I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you, and I beat them. I will beat you now,” the singer had said before the fight.

Efe, however, replied confidently, “One punch and you fall.”

Inside the ring, Portable started aggressively in the first round, throwing several uncontrolled punches, but Efe stayed composed and responded with effective uppercuts and body shots.

The second round saw Portable continue with his attacking approach, though Efe appeared more accurate and landed cleaner punches throughout the exchange.

By the final round, Efe maintained control and repeatedly connected with solid shots before the fight ended.

The win officially crowned Carter Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion.
