Troops arrest two suspected terrorists in Kogi
Troops of the 12 Brigade, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have arrested two suspected terrorists during a fighting patrol operation in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The operation, carried out along the Eganyi–Atabatam–Epiri–Ebatoto–Idebe axis, followed sustained surveillance and patrol activities aimed at tackling criminal activities and improving security in vulnerable communities.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the troops conducted a coordinated sweep of the area, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of items including a motorcycle, machete, and mobile phone.
The suspects and recovered items were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to dismantle criminal networks operating within Kogi State and surrounding areas.
