Vice President of Idoma Lawyers Association, Moses Okoh Oyilokwu Shortlisted for Senior Advocate of Nigeria [SAN] Rank
Vice President of the Idoma Lawyers Forum, Moses Okoh Oyilokwu, Esq., has been shortlisted for the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), marking another milestone for the Idoma legal community, IDOMA VOICE reports.

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) on Wednesday released the list of candidates shortlisted for the conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria for 2026.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary of the LPPC and Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr. Kabir Akanbi, a total of 89 candidates made the shortlist, comprising 77 advocates and 12 academics.

The committee explained that the shortlisted candidates emerged after successfully passing the various stages of the rigorous selection process, including the advocates’ first and second filtration exercises, academic pre-qualification, academic first attrition exercise, independent appeals hearing and chambers inspection exercise.

Oyilokwu, a respected legal practitioner and the current Vice President of the Idoma Lawyers Association, is among the advocates shortlisted for the country’s highest professional legal honour.

The rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria is conferred annually on distinguished legal practitioners who have demonstrated exceptional advocacy, integrity and contributions to the development of the legal profession in Nigeria.

The LPPC is expected to conclude the remaining stages of the selection process before announcing the successful candidates for the 2026 SAN conferment.
