Idoma Hall of Fame will inspire younger generation to excel – Pastor Paul Enenche

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has said the Idoma Hall of Fame (IHoF) will inspire the younger generation to pursue excellence, describing the initiative as noble, scriptural and capable of promoting outstanding achievements and preserving Idoma heritage.

Pastor Enenche stated this on Friday when he received the Central Planning Committee (CPC) of IHOF, led by its Chairman, Chief Paul Harris Ogbole (SAN), at the headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, the Glory Dome, Abuja.

The Idoma-born cleric spoke when the committee visited him to formally present his nomination letter for induction into the Idoma Hall of Fame, with the induction ceremony scheduled for October 15, 2026, in Abuja.

Describing the concept as consistent with biblical principles, Pastor Enenche likened IHOF to the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11, where people distinguished by their faith and exemplary lives were remembered and celebrated.

“The Idoma Hall of Fame is noble. It is scriptural and can be likened to the Biblical ‘Hall of Faith’ captured in the book of Hebrews 11,” he said.

He commended the initiative for creating a platform to recognise distinguished Idoma sons and daughters, noting that celebrating their achievements would inspire others to pursue excellence.

“It is worthy of note that the Idoma people have distinguished themselves in medicine, law, business and other fields. Celebrating their exploits would encourage others to aspire to the levels those being celebrated have attained. This is what we need now to attain higher heights as a country,” he said.

“When you celebrate excellence like IHoF set out to do, you give room for others to be lifted,” he added.

Pastor Enenche also stressed the importance of creating platforms that enable people to discover and maximise their potential, saying such initiatives could contribute to broader national development.

Earlier, Chief Ogbole briefed the cleric on the vision and objectives of IHoF, explaining that the initiative was conceived to establish a credible platform for celebrating excellence and outstanding contributions while encouraging younger generations to aspire to meaningful achievements.

The visioner of IHOF, Engr Agaba Ikwue, said Pastor Enenche’s endorsement was consistent with the objectives of the initiative.

He said the initiative goes beyond recognising outstanding individuals, stressing that it is also designed to promote youth mentorship, gender equity, preservation of Idoma heritage and community engagement, while inspiring the next generation.

“Apart from the celebration of outstanding achievements of individuals who have made remarkable contributions to nation building, the Idoma Hall of Fame seeks to establish a vibrant platform for the preservation of the Idoma heritage, community engagement, inspiration for the next generation, among other objectives,” Ikwue said.

The visit culminated in special prayers by Pastor Enenche for the success of the October 15 event and for the Idoma Hall of Fame (IHoF) initiative to endure beyond its founders and become a lasting legacy for generations to come.
