Ondo APC leaders pledge one million votes for Tinubu in 2027
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ondo State have pledged to work together to mobilise one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
The commitment was made at an endorsement rally in Akure organised by the Emerging Political Platform EPP, a group supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Speaking at the event, Ondo APC Chairman Babatunde Kolawole urged party members to put aside personal differences and work for Tinubu and other APC candidates.
He said the party must unite behind its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and state House of Assembly.
Kolawole also dismissed reports of a disagreement between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
He described the two politicians as working together for the APC and Tinubu.
“When you mention the Minister and the Governor, you make it look as if there’s an issue. They are brothers,” Kolawole said.
The chairman also linked the state government’s projects in roads, healthcare and education partly to increased federal allocations.
He further warned APC members against anti-party activities, saying those involved would face consequences.
Also speaking, Asiwaju Mandate Group Director-General in Ondo, Olumuyiwa Asagunla, urged members to end internal disagreements and focus on mobilisation.
He said the party had concluded its primaries and produced candidates for the elections.
EPP President Dolapo Fatogun also called for reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation. He said the group would continue to support Tinubu and other APC candidates.
The Ondo APC’s one million vote target has featured in statements by party leaders and support groups ahead of the 2027 election.
