Police desecrate Nigerian flag, brutalize lady despite holding country’s national colours

In a clear show of disrespect to the nation’s national colours, some police men on Monday threw caution to the wind and descended on a lady holding the Nigerian national flag during a peaceful protest in Abuja.

The incident happened around Nyanya under bridge in Abuja, IDOMA VOICE learnt.

The lady, who was among those protesting against police brutality, got brutalized by same police she was campaigning against.

Holding the national flag over her head, the officers pounced on her, beating her mercilessly while the flag waves helplessly.

Before now, protesters were advised to get the national flag while going protest ground as no security official would touch them while the national colours as it is a treasonable offence.

However, the officers at Nyanya on Monday disrespected the nation that employed them with the show of shame.
