Ago-Are Vs Tede: Two dead, Amotekun office, police vehicle razed as Oyo communities clash
Following a communal clash between residents of Ago-Are and Tede areas of Oyo State, two persons have reportedly lost their lives.
The office of the South West Security outfit, Amotekun and a police vehicle were also set ablaze in the clash.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that residents of both communities have engaged themselves in a communal clash since Friday as a result of the relocation of a cow market from Tede to Ago Are.
However, calm has been restored to the area following the intervention of the Oyo State Police command.
The new state police Commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko, has assured residents of their safety after leading the Federal Government delegation to Igangan, where the house of Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, was burnt on Friday.
Recall that Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, recently gave Fulani herdsmen in Oyo State a quit notice, blaming them for being responsible for killings and kidnappings going on in the State.
