2027: ‘It’s rumour’ — APC denies withdrawing presidential campaign council list

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports that it withdrew the recently released list of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing the reports as rumours.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified the position on Tuesday, saying any changes to the campaign council would be officially communicated by the party.

His comments followed reports claiming that the APC had withdrawn the list amid preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to TheCable, Morka said there was no truth in the reports and assured that any adjustment to the list would be formally announced.

“It’s rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced,” he said.

The APC had recently unveiled the composition of its Presidential Campaign Council as part of preparations for the 2027 presidential election, in which President Bola Tinubu is seeking another term.

The release of the list generated reactions within the party and among political stakeholders, with some members questioning the inclusion or omission of certain individuals.

The reactions subsequently triggered speculation that the party might review the composition of the campaign structure.
