The Idoma community has lauded the forces behind the project, Bar Paul Edeh, George Alli and AVM Morgan.

A pro-Idoma group, under the aegis of Idoma Youth Frontiers hailed the trio for always putting the Idoma community first.

The group described Edeh as ‘Idoma first’ son for bringing home the first of its kind project.

Johnson Agaba, national secretary of the group in a statement said, “We are grateful to Paul Edeh for always fighting for the Idoma interest. We recall how his role led to the exit of Fulani herdsmen in Agatu and how he used his personal resources, time and energy to make sure peace returns to Agatu land.

“He has done it again with the Army Estate and we can’t thank him enough. All we ask is that; may the Alekwu of Idoma land pay him back in million folds.”

He also lauded the project contractor, AVM Morgan, whom he described as a worthy Idoma son.

“Our joy knows no bound, knowing that the person manning the project is a worthy Idoma son, in person of AVM Morgan, we can go to bed and sleep because the project would be done accurately and timely, considering his antecedents.

“We call on all Idoma sons and daughters, both at home and abroad to support the project in their own little way.

“For Hon Geroge Alli, we are always proud out him. He’s the architect of modern Otukpo. His support and efforts made this come true.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai would be in Otukpo in no distant time to lay foundation of the project.
