Arsenal interested in signing Empoli midfielder, Bajrami
Arsenal is rumored to be interested in signing the 23-year-old midfielder. According to reports from Italy, the Albanian international has drawn the attention of Mikel Arteta, who is willing to pay ten million euros to sign the Swiss-born midfielder.
Bajrami joined Empoli from his boyhood club Grasshoppers in 2019 and has since played in over 80 appearances for the team. Bajrami scored six goals in 21 games for the Italian underdogs last season in Serie A, capturing the spotlight with some remarkable performances.
Arsenal’s scouts have recommended that the club make a move for Bajrami, while fellow Swiss/Albanian star Granit Xhaka is also said to have recommended that the club make a bid for the versatile teenager. Bajrami can play as a box-to-box midfielder or as an offensive midfielder farther up the pitch.
From 2013 to 2021, Bajrami represented Switzerland’s young teams before switching his allegiance to Albania’s full international team.
