Benue massacre: Idoma people lambast Suswam for refusing to visit Agatu

Outgoing Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam is currently at the receiving end of harsh criticisms from angry Idoma natives over his refusal to commiserate with Agatu community following the recent attack on the area, which left over 100 persons dead.

Many natives of the Idoma enclave are not comfortable with the state governor over his continuous silence on the incident as the chief security officer of the food basket state.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Senate President and leader of the Idoma political shrine, David Mark had since visited the volatile community, calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those behind the deadly attack.

However, findings by this newspaper indicate that governor Suswam has neither issue a statement or visited the blood-ridden community since the incident occoured last week.

When the matter was brought before Idoma People of Nigeria, IPN, a highly feared group coordinated by Josephine Akioyamen on Facebook, many Idoma indigenes knocked the governor over his inability to end the Fulani-Agatu crisis wreaking havocs in the area for ages.

In fact, many members of the group outrightly tagged the governor of being heartless for not even telling the Agatu people ‘sorry’ on the incident.
