BREAKING: Many dead as suspected herdsmen ambush farmers along Odugbeho–Aila Road in Agatu

Tension has gripped Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State after suspected herdsmen launched a deadly ambush on farmers along the Odugbeho–Aila Road, leaving several people feared dead.

According to local sources, the victims were attacked while returning from their farms, unaware that gunmen had laid in wait along the route. The assailants reportedly opened fire at close range, killing an unspecified number of people instantly.

Although the exact casualty figure remains uncertain, at least four bodies have been recovered so far. Some of the victims were identified as Joy Simon, Lyta, and Monet.
