A senior government official has been detained by the police over a slew of serious allegations, including a sex scandal involving multiple married women and a N100 million fraud case.
Sources familiar with the investigation revealed that the aide is being questioned for allegedly engaging in sexual relations with several married women, many of whom were lured with promises of government contracts and board appointments. These acts reportedly took place within his official office.
“He boasted to them that he had significant influence in the administration and could secure appointments for them,” a source disclosed.
Investigators have reportedly obtained more than ten sex tapes allegedly recorded during the encounters, which were secretly captured and submitted by whistleblowers.
In a related development, the official is also facing accusations of defrauding unsuspecting individuals of over N100 million. The funds were allegedly collected under false pretenses linked to political support and access to privileged opportunities.
Law enforcement authorities confirmed that the official is currently in custody at police headquarters, where he was seen writing his statement earlier today.
