Critics have been warned to stop distracting elected lawmakers from Benue South Senatorial District at the national assembly from delivering on their promises, especially now that all hands are on deck to make the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo a reality.

This warning was given by Rexino Ogwuche, an aide to Governor Samuel Ortom on Wednesday.

The governor’s aide also saluted the senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and his colleagues at the Lower Chamber for their efforts to codify the statutes setting up the health varsity.

He made this comment following the successful public hearing and the presentation of memoranda of the institution on Monday in Abuja.

He said at this point, critics and naysayers should steer clear as academic activities set to commence in the school.

He wrote, “The colossal proactiveness of Sen. Abba Moro and his kindred federal legislators from Benue south to codify the statutes setting up the federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo is commendable.

“We must also applaud them for coalescing around their individual duties and public responsibilities to serve our people.

“Their effort at the public sitting for concurrence of both chambers of the NASS to give legal backing to FUHSO becomes more commendable as similar institution has been revoked elsewhere at the hands of processes and lack of simple compliance to structural and institutional frameworks.

“We must give an extended moratorium on frivolous attacks and stop distracting our elected lawmakers from delivering on their promises .Criticisms must be constructive.

-Supreme commander.”
