Former BBNaija housemate Francisca Owumi is dead

Francisca Owumi, a former contestant from the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, has passed away after a brief illness.

Francisca, who was the runner-up in the first BBNaija season, died on August 29, 2024. Her family announced the news on social media, sharing a heartfelt tribute: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Known for her vibrant dancing skills, Francisca was a standout contestant alongside winner Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Maureen Osuji, and others. Following her time on the show, she briefly ventured into the Nigerian music scene with singles such as “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
