Frustrated Ogbadibo LG boss, ‘Prince’ Samuel Onuh insults IDOMA VOICE, calls news outfit Almajiri, ASD

In what appears to be a last bite of a drowning man, ‘Prince’ Samuel Odoh Onuh, the struggling caretaker committee chairman of Ogbadibo LGA on Saturday, threw caution to the wind when he descended on IDOMA VOICE NEWSPAPER and described the media outfit as ‘almajiri news’.

The chairman vented his spleen on the media outfit following its report on the comment made by the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Benue State chapter, Sir John Ngbede, during the party’s expanded caucus meeting in Makurdi.

IDOMA VOICE had earlier in its report quoted Ngbede as saying during the caucus meeting in Makurdi  that zoning formula, which had existed hitherto in the party must be respected ahead of the local government council election in the state.

“The party will adhere to the zoning formula adopted by stakeholders at the local government level,” this newspaper quoted Ngbede as saying and this was confirmed by one of his media aides, Rexino Ogwuche.

With Ngbede’s assertion on zoning, the dust has been settled on where the next local government chairman of Ogbadibo would come from.

Apparently frustrated and angered over the outcome of the meeting and the report carried by this media outfit, Onuh, who was handpicked by Ortom to deny Otukpa of the chairmanship stool, bulldozed into the comment section to call the newspaper names.

He described the media outfit as almajiri newspaper and ASD (Attention Seeking Disorder). (See attached below)

OUR STAND

The management of IDOMA VOICE NEWSPAPER wishes to inform Onuh that he should thread with caution as his tenure as the LG chairman would one day elapse and he sure owes the people of Ogbadibo and Idoma community at large account of his stewardship.

This newspaper is not perturbed by whatever sobriquet he may choose to confer on us; we are guided by our mantra, which is ‘In Search of Truth and Freedom.’

IDOMA VOICE will continue to search for truth and freedom. We have made this noble saying our anthem; to be the voice of the people, to search for truth and freedom, not to sweep any report under the carpet for the sake of fortune or favour and won’t be intimidated by Onuh and his likes.

The ‘almajiri’ will continue to monitor his activities in Ogbadibo closely and will feed the general public of his performance(s) raw and uncut.

World over, never has any politician in the history of politics won any war against the media.

He just opened a new chapter.
