Gunmen kill popular Nigerian socialite, Gatuso in Ibadan hotel
Popular Nigerian socialite, Olaleye Ajibola alias Gatuso, was reportedly gunned down by suspected armed robbers on Saturday evening.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that Gatuso was making a call while entering the premises of a popular hotel located in NTC, Iyaganku, Ibadan, when the gunmen shot him in the stomach.
According to eyewitness reports, a robbery operation was on at the hotel when the socialite arrived. An eyewitness said the armed men must have thought Gatuso was calling security agencies, hence they shot him.
“Those criminals collected our phones and other belongings. It is unfortunate for Gatuso. He was just coming into the hotel when they shot him at very close range.
“They collected all our phones and other valuables. For the period they operated, no security agencies came to challenge them. I now know we don’t have security in Oyo State,” an eyewitness told Daily Trust.
