Has ASUU called off strike?

Following the meeting between the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government today, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, many students have anticipated that the lingerie strike would be called off.

However, after a marathon meeting between the FG and the union today, the strike still continues.

Sources said the committee pleaded with the lecturers to suspend the ongoing strike, with promises that their concerns will be included in the 2023 budget but it was turned down.

Has ASUU called off strike?
No, with the outcome of today’s meeting, students are to still remain at home as the ongoing strike continues.
