Feared Zamfara bandit leader, Kachalla Dan Lukuti, reportedly met a bizarre and agonizing end after succumbing to a mysterious illness that made him bark like a dog before his death.

Sources revealed that the notorious terrorist, infamous for orchestrating deadly attacks in Zamfara and Katsina states, fell ill about a week ago.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that his condition rapidly deteriorated, displaying unusual symptoms such as extreme aggression, violent spasms, and continuous barking, similar to that of a rabid dog.

Witnesses claim that his gang members, terrified by his strange condition, refused to approach him, leaving him to suffer in isolation until he died.

Dan Lukuti, who operated from the Kokonba forest in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, led over 50 armed men in countless raids on villages, highways, and local communities. His attacks extended into Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, making him one of the most wanted criminals in the region.

Despite his years of terror, his final moments were marked by fear and superstition among his men. Out of desperation, his gang forced villagers in Kizara to conduct his burial at a local primary school.

There are speculations that his death may be linked to rabies or spiritual repercussions for his years of violence. His demise comes amid heightened military operations targeting bandit strongholds in the Northwest.
