Idoma, the second largest ethnic group in Benue State is about to lose a precious bid from its political crown. This is courtesy of the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the last presidential and National Assembly elections.

IDOMA VOICE reports that David Mark, got re-elected for the 5th time consecutively, but this time as a minority as the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC clinched a total of 65 seats against the People’s Democratic Party’s 44 seats.

The emergence of APC as the majority in the senate has no doubt put the possibility of Mark administering the national assembly shrine into red cloud. Since then, there have been calls from several quarters on the ex-governor of Niger state to eat the humble pie by renouncing the PDP so he could retain his number three seat.

Others are of the opinions that the Okpokpowulu, as he’s fondly called has overstayed his welcome at the senate and should back out for another person, preferably a younger politician to take over from him. However, some equally want him to remain in the senate since he’s better experienced and familiar with the house rituals.
In the light of all these, IDOMA VOICE is asking:

VOTING HAS ENDED….
