JAMB names top scorers in 2024 UTME (Full list)
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed the names of the top performers in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at its policy meeting held in Abuja on Thursday. Three candidates achieved the highest score of 367 this year: Olowu Joseph from Ondo State, Alayande David from Oyo State, and Orukpe Joel from Edo State, marking them as this year’s top achievers.
In contrast, Umeh Nkechinyere held the top position in the previous year with a total score of 360. JAMB made the decision not to publicly disclose the highest scorer for 2024 earlier, citing past controversies like the “Mmesoma matter,” in order to prevent misunderstandings and uphold the examination’s integrity.
