1. The PDP G-5 Governors, led by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State have arrived Benue ahead of Monday 7th PDP Campaign flag-off.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom received Governor Nyesom Wike and Okezie Ikpeazu of Rivers and Abia at the Makurdi Airport ahead of the flag-off of PDP election campaigns and commissioning of some projects executed by the Benue State Governor in Makurdi on Monday.

2. The Forum of Concerned Nigerians, FCN, has condemned the recent renewed armed herdsmen attacks on Benue communities that claimed 22 lives among them women and children in Guma and Makurdi Local Government Areas, LGAs, of the state.

The Secretary of FCN, Samson Ochono who in a statement Sunday decried the unprovoked killings, noted that the armed herdsmen were probably emboldened by the recent comments of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

3. The people’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2023 Federal House of Representatives position, Hon. Alex Enokela Ogbe, has redeemed the pledge made to ASA 1 community to restore electricity to the people.

Hon Ogbe had in October 2022, embarked on an assessment Tour of wards in Otukpo Local Government Area, to be abreast with the yearnings of the People.

4. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has given assurances to the people of Sankera that the ban on motorcycles and Toyota Corolla, popularly known as ‘duck nyash’ will be lifted in the area once he gets a firm commitment from leaders of the area to end banditry and kidnapping.
Sankera intermediate area is made up of Katsina-Ala, Ukum, and Logo local government areas.

5. No fewer than 18 persons have been killed in attacks on different communities by suspected herders in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Thursday at Ukohol and other adjourning villages as the suspected herders went on killing spree.
