Diego Dalot and Marcus Rashford had put the Red Devil in front before the Portuguese wrapped up the points nine minutes from time and secured a top-two finish in Group E.
With the last result, Erik ten Hag’s side must now beat leaders Real Sociedad by two goals next week to usurp the LaLiga outfit at the group summit and avoid a trickier clash in the play-off knockout round.
In a post on his social media pages after the match, Ronaldo wrote: “ Great team effort and a good victory. We stand together. Let’s go, United!”
