Fresh off his impressive debut for David Beckham’s Inter Miami MLS squad, Lionel Messi, the new star of the team, was seen house hunting in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida over the weekend. The 36-year-old football icon, who scored the game-winning goal in his first match with Inter Miami, took a day off on Sunday to explore potential homes for himself and his family.
Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, accompanied him on the house-hunting trip, along with their children. The family was seen checking out a large mansion situated along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway, TMZ reports.
While there’s no confirmation yet if Messi plans to make an offer on the property, it’s evident that the football superstar has the financial means to acquire a lavish home. As part of his new 2.5-year deal with Inter Miami, Messi is set to earn a staggering $5 million per month.
Messi’s debut match with the team showcased his incredible talent as he scored a crucial free kick in the 94th minute to secure a victory over Cruz Azul. With such a remarkable start, it’s no surprise that the new addition to Inter Miami is already making his mark and captivating the fans in South Florida.
