Monza reappoint Alessandro Nesta just weeks after sacking

Monza have reinstated Alessandro Nesta as their manager just seven weeks after dismissing the former Italy defender.
The club had replaced Nesta with Salvatore Bocchetti in December, but after a crushing 5-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday left them bottom of Serie A and eight points from safety, Bocchetti was also relieved of his duties.
During his brief tenure, the 38-year-old Bocchetti managed just one win in seven league games, suffering six defeats.
Nesta, who initially took charge in July for his first Serie A managerial role, oversaw just one victory in 17 league matches before being sacked.
Now reappointed, he will look to turn Monza’s fortunes around, starting with their upcoming clash against Lecce on Sunday, 16 February.
