1. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has paid glowing tributes to Tunde Jonathan Mark, son of former Senate President, David Mark who was buried Friday, November 11th, 2022. Governor Ortom who joined other political and religious leaders across the country spoke during the requiem Mass at the private residence of Senator Mark in Otukpo.

2. Fresh facts have emerged on the lady who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon Thursday afternoon. She has been identified as Adetutu Adedokun, a staff of the Department of State Services (DSS). Sources in the office revealed that she is an unarmed combat instructor who stepped into the shoes of her parents who worked with the plain cloth service.

3. Governor Samuel Ortom has assented to the 2022 supplementary budget with internal reviews and adjustments that maintain the appropriation envelope of N175,903,441,384. The bill was recently passed by the Benue State House Assembly.

4. The Nigerian Government has amended the seven-count terrorism charges against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. The Government filed the amended seven-count terrorism charge against Kanu. The amended charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, which was entered before the Federal High Court in Abuja, contained all allegations against Kanu that were earlier sustained by the court.

5. A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Friday disqualified 16 Rivers State House of Assembly candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2023 general elections. The court, however, upheld the candidacy of 16 state constituencies of the APC.

6. The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Friday, met with the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, in Auchi, Edo State.

7. The National Chairman of the Nigeria Legion, Abdulmalik Jibril on Wednesday revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and some retired soldiers will receive the “Green Heroes Award” for their roles during the civil war in the country. Jibril who revealed this in the Federal Capital Territory while addressing newsmen noted that the retired soldiers would be honoured for their sacrifice. Others on the list are former Heads of State, Generals Yakubu Gowon, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Minister of Defence, General T.Y. Danjuma (rtd).

8. The Inspector General Police, Usman Alkali-Baba has revealed that some of the abducted Chibok girls who recently returned and reunited with their families have expressed willingness to return to their captors. The IGP made this known while speaking on the status of internal security at the weekly briefings coordinated by the Presidential Media Team in Abuja.

9. The Nigerian Railway Corporation has said that the National Identity Number will now become compulsory for passenger profiling when boarding the Abuja-Kaduna Train Service. The Managing Director of the Corporation, Fidet Okhiria made this known during an interview on Arise TV on Thursday.

Nigeria’s music superstar, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel has joined the list of superstar artistes that will perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Kizz Daniel is the second Nigerian artiste lined by FIFA to thrill fans at the global soccer fiesta.
