Popular Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti, has narrowly escaped being hit by a stray bullet in his hotel room in the United States.
The Afrobeat musician shared the frightening experience in a video posted to his Instagram page on Sunday evening. According to Kuti, the bullet pierced through the window of his hotel room unexpectedly while he was inside.
In the video, the visibly shaken artist expressed disbelief at the incident, saying: “I read somewhere that these are the civilized people. Tell me you are in America without telling me you are in America. I am in my hotel room just chilling and boom, this happened.”
The video, which has since gone viral, shows the shattered window and the bullet hole, prompting concern from fans and followers.
Kuti has not disclosed the exact location of the hotel or whether law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
